Welcome
Do you know where to turn?
Growing older brings choices, opportunities - and sometimes a lot of confusing information
My Support Network helps older Australians and their families understand their options and connect with the right support
Inform - Empower - Connect
A message from our founder
Will you know where to turn when it's your turn?
At some point, many of us will need help we never expected to need.
The frustrating part is the help may already exist - but finding it can mean navigating unfamiliar systems, confusing terminology, different organisations and pathways that are anything but simple.
My Name is Eddie Boyle, founder of My Support Network
For more than 25 years, I have worked across community services, employment, retirement living and home care. Over that time, I have seen how often people miss out on support, not because it isn't available, but because they don't know where to start.
I have met many older people and their families, who struggle with three basic things when trying to access the support they need to live independently and meaningfully as they age.
Information: They don't always know what support is available, what they may be eligible for, or how to access it.
Confidence: They can feel overwhelmed by systems, processes and language that are unnecessarily complex and can leave even the most capable of people feeling confused or out of their depth
Connection: They are often unsure who to contact, which organisation does what, or how different services and funding streams fit together
My 'aha' moment came, when I asked myself...
'Who will I turn to when it's my turn?'
From that moment, I made it my mission to ensure every older person I met knew where to turn
This is why My Support Network was created.
We are a free, community led service that helps people become informed, empowered and connected so they know where to turn with confidence.
Thank you for supporting us

Where advocacy is required, we can help identify an appropriate service
No.
Our Stewards provide information and connection within their knowledge and competence.
Where specialist advice is required, our role is to help you identify an appropriately qualified organisation or professional.
Not necessarily,
That's often the reason people contact us in the first place, because they are unsure where to turn.
You can simply tell us what's happening and what you're trying to understand. We can then help identify a sensible next step.
Absolutely!
Families often find themselves trying to understand unfamiliar systems while supporting someone they care about
You and your family member are welcome to contact us with questions you may have about accessing home support services or other age related services
My Support Network does not accept per-referral commissions.
Our independence is fundamental to the trust people place in us.
While we do have relationships with ethical partners who keep us informed and updated on changes within their specific specialisation; our partnerships do not determine where an individual is referred.
A Steward is a person within My Support Network who helps older Australians access information, understand their options and connect them with appropriate support.
Stewards don't need to have every answer.
They simply help people with the information they need to connect with services confidently.
